Local merino breeders were among the winners at the 2024 Hay Merino Sheep Show, held on Saturday.

Carol and Stephen Huggins’ Woodpark Poll was named most successful exhibitor in the unhoused section after taking the blue ribbon for champion unhoused ewe as well as the reserve champion ewe. Woodpark Poll claimed champion and reserve champion in three of the four unhoused classes, with David and Val Davies of Walgrove claiming first and second place in the fourth class.

Burrabogie flock also did well on the day, taking home the award for most successful Hay district flock exhibitor.
